The date 10.09.12 referred to the release of Prometheus in Blu-ray and 3D Blu-ray formats, the date was hinted at soon after the release of the film and following the Star Map leading up to the release of the theatrical version. As the Blu-ray release approached similiar with the Star Map for the film, there was a 'Questions will be answered 10.09.12' website also set inside the Derelict's Orrery with planetary systems appearing as it approached the date giving trailer clips, behind the scenes footage, screen concepts, cast and crew interviews.
These were both set as similiar formats, a Holo Map and star chart which would rotate as in the film. By clicking on a planetary system, the star chart would stop and open giving information that was released, exiting would continue the Star Map.
